Responsibilities

Serve as the primary outsourced CFO / COO contact for hedge fund and select private equity clients
Own end-to-end financial and operational oversight, including:
Fund administrator oversight (NAVs, reporting, deliverables)
Management company accounting and expense oversight
Payroll, vendor payments, and cash management coordination
Middle-office provider oversight
Act as a strategic partner to Fund Managers and CIOs, translating operational needs into execution
Oversee and coordinate relationships with:
Fund administrators
Prime brokers
Audit and tax providers
Middle-office and other service vendors
Support fund launches, transitions, and ongoing growth initiatives
Provide senior-level judgment, escalation management, and process improvement
Contribute to the expansion of OCFO capabilities on the private equity side as client demand grows

Qualification

Outsourced CFO experienceHedge fund expertisePrivate equity exposureCPA certificationMulti-asset strategy knowledgeCommunication skills

Required

10–12+ years of relevant experience (flexible for the right profile)
Strong hedge fund background preferred
Exposure to multi-asset or global macro strategies ideal
Equities, futures, commodities, rates, and derivatives exposure a plus
Experience in outsourced CFO / COO roles, hedge fund controller positions, or senior fund operations roles
Private equity exposure is a strong plus, particularly around fund launches, transitions, or oversight
Comfortable operating independently in a senior, client-facing, judgment-heavy role
Strong communicator capable of working directly with investment principals

Preferred

Strong hedge fund background preferred
CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred but not required
