Business Development Manager
SkipperSeil Limited is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive sales growth in the Solar EPC and Power Transformer market across the USA. The role involves identifying new opportunities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and leading the RFQ/RFP process for utility-scale projects.
Responsibilities
Identify and acquire new opportunities in:
Utility-scale solar EPC projects
Transformer supply tenders for power utilities
Substation equipment procurement (T&D contracts)
Build relationships with:
EPC Contractors (Solar + Grid)
Independent Power Producers (IPP)
Utilities & municipal energy authorities
Solar developers & project owners
OEMs, traders, consultants & channel partners
Develop dealer/agent network in California, Texas & Colorado regions
Lead US-based RFQ/RFP process — bid review, pricing, compliance checks, proposal submission
Coordinate with Dubai/India HO teams for costing, engineering & delivery timelines
Support commercial negotiations and contract closure
Prepare pipeline MIS & weekly sales funnel updates
Track policy, tax incentive (Inflation Reduction Act), federal & state solar subsidies
Recommend pricing & market penetration strategies
Qualification
Required
Currently living in the USA
Work-from-home capability with willingness for client travel (10–20%)
7–10+ years experience in Solar EPC sales OR Transformer / T&D equipment sales
Strong network with utility or EPC decision-makers
Proven experience winning US-based solar or T&D orders
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Preferred
MBA Marketing / International Business is an added advantage
