Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deliver Power Systems Applications for Transmission or Distribution systems

Collaborate with Electric Utilities, ISOs, and TSOs to gather and refine functional requirements

Customize and implement EMS or DMS/ADMS solutions (experience with e-terra AEMS – Reliance is a plus)

Perform software development, integration, testing, and performance tuning for real-time systems

Diagnose and resolve issues in mission-critical operational systems

Manage system configurations, patches, and upgrades, including OS and third-party tools such as Oracle and NetApp

Maintain version control using GitHub or ClearCase

Ensure software and system reliability in production-grade utility environments

Required

2–8 years of experience working with Electric Utility systems (EMS, DMS, or ADMS)

Proficiency with Linux (required)

Proficiency with C and C++ (required)

Experience with SQL or Oracle Database (required)

Experience with SCADA systems supporting EMS/DMS applications

Experience developing or customizing real-time power systems software

Strong debugging, log analysis, and troubleshooting skills

Experience working on mission-critical or live customer systems

Hands-on experience with both Linux and Windows operating systems

Candidates must come from the Electric Utilities or Power Distribution domain

Preferred

Java (acceptable but not preferred)

Experience with EMS or DMS/ADMS product design and configuration

Knowledge of Load Flow, Contingency Analysis, and Power Factor analysis

Familiarity with Oracle, NetApp, and system patching

Exposure to e-terra AEMS – Reliance or similar OEM products
