Senior Asset Management Analyst

Sayres Defense is a prominent leader in defense support services to the DOD in the shipbuilding industry. They are seeking an experienced Senior Asset Management Analyst who will provide senior-level analytical, programmatic, and lifecycle sustainment support to NAVSEA and Marine Corps Installations Command leadership for fleet platforms and associated systems.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day program execution, schedule management, risk tracking, and performance reporting across lifecycle efforts
Support coordination across NAVSEA, MCICOM, warfare centers, engineering, logistics, finance, contracting, and operational stakeholders
Support Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities, working groups, and governance forums
Develop and deliver executive-level briefings to senior leadership, translating complex technical and financial data into actionable decision support
Coordinate and support development and maintenance of the fleet readiness and lifecycle baseline, incorporating readiness status, operational usage, sustainment costs, and facility/infrastructure supportability
Analyze fleet and sustainment data to identify performance trends, cost drivers, readiness risks, and modernization priorities
Establish and monitor lifecycle performance metrics to assess total ownership cost, availability, and sustainment effectiveness
Provide development, updates, and execution oversight of the Lifecycle Management Plan (LCMP) across platforms and systems
Integrate training, maintenance, logistics, supply chain, and infrastructure requirements into a unified lifecycle strategy
Ensure lifecycle plans remain aligned with NAVSEA sustainment, logistics, and systems engineering policy and best practices
Proactively identify obsolescence, DMSMS, and sustainment risks and recommend mitigation strategies
Coordinate Program Objective Memorandum (POM) development efforts, including cost modeling, funding phasing, and justification packages
Support recapitalization, modernization, and sustainment investment planning aligned with Marine Corps and Navy priorities
Ensure defensible traceability between requirements, performance outcomes, and budget submissions across fiscal years
Provide senior-level program logistics and total lifecycle sustainment oversight from acquisition through end-of-life
Coordinate across multiple enterprises, primes, OEMs, support contractors, and government sponsors to ensure consistent lifecycle execution
Apply working knowledge of small boat, combatant craft, or maritime systems to support readiness, sustainment, and modernization strategies
Support development and delivery of the final LCMP, POM submission packages, fleet analysis products, and executive briefing decks
Ensure products are audit-ready, analytically sound, and aligned with governance and leadership expectations
Provide senior-level recommendations to government leadership on lifecycle strategy, affordability, readiness impacts, and long-term sustainment posture

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Systems Engineering, Business, Public Policy, or a related technical or management field
10+ years of experience supporting DoD or Navy lifecycle management, sustainment, logistics, or program management efforts
Demonstrated experience developing and executing Lifecycle Management Plans (LCMPs) and supporting POM/budget submissions
Strong background in fleet readiness analysis, sustainment cost analysis, and total ownership cost evaluation
Experience working directly with NAVSEA, Marine Corps organizations, or equivalent DoD acquisition and sustainment commands
Exceptional ability to develop and present executive-level briefings and technical decision-support materials
Strong proficiency with data analysis, reporting tools, and performance metrics to support lifecycle decision-making
Strong understanding of DoD acquisition lifecycle, sustainment policy, and budget processes
Ability to obtain Secret Clearance

Preferred

Experience supporting small boat, combatant craft, or maritime platform programs
Familiarity with MCICOM facilities, infrastructure, and installation support functions
Experience supporting multi-enterprise programs spanning multiple commands and stakeholders
Active DoD Security Clearance
