Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager drives growth by developing and executing a strategic marketing and business development plan aligned with the organization’s goals for a defined geographic area, while maintaining compliance with regulations and standards.

Responsibilities
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and business development strategy for the assigned area, including a business plan and targeted referral opportunities
Community Engagement: Spend approximately 80% of time in the field, educating customers on services, features, and benefits
Account Management: Maintain and deepen relationships with existing accounts; act as a consultant to meet customer needs and create tailored proposals
Growth Initiatives: Develop at least 10 pursuit plan target accounts annually with a targeted spread; achieve budgeted financial goals
Collaboration: Partner with Clinical and Operational teams to understand customer needs and align strategies with office capabilities
Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to customers, patients, and families, including conflict resolution and troubleshooting
Recruitment Leadership: Interview, hire, and manage recruiters; ensure recruiting strategies are executed effectively; conduct daily Red Zone meetings
Compliance: Maintain knowledge of federal and state laws, healthcare reform, and organizational requirements; educate customers and staff on impacts
Reporting: Complete all required reports and activity tracking to meet KPIs
Other Duties: Serve as Administrator where required; perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, or RN license preferred
Minimum two years of business development experience in healthcare or related field
Strong customer service orientation and excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and public speaking)
Ability to work independently, creatively, and with a high level of motivation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with technology
