Responsibilities

Design and implement REST and SOAP–based APIs using IBM DataPower
Develop, configure, and manage APIs along with associated security policies
Administer the IBM DataPower appliance, including configuration, performance tuning, security, and optimization
Implement API security mechanisms such as authentication, authorization, encryption, and policy enforcement
Support enterprise integration initiatives and collaborate with backend and integration teams

Required

Strong experience in designing and building RESTful and SOAP-based APIs
Hands-on experience with IBM DataPower, including security policies, XML, XSLT, and message transformations
Solid understanding of API security concepts and implementation of security policies
Experience working on enterprise-level integration projects and solutions
Backend integration experience; familiarity with .NET-based systems is required (Spring Boot exposure is an added advantage)

Preferred

Experience with Kong API Gateway, particularly in migration or modernization projects
Prior experience migrating APIs or platforms from IBM DataPower to Kong
