Talent Retention Strategy Director

Responsibilities
Lead the design, governance, and maintenance of job architecture, including job leveling, titling, grading, and career frameworks
Develop, implement, and manage compensation structures, salary bands, incentive programs, and annual compensation planning cycles (merit, bonus, promotions)
Conduct market benchmarking, pay equity analysis, and internal equity assessments to ensure competitiveness and compliance
Oversee employee benefits programs including health, retirement, wellness, and leave programs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency
Manage open enrollment, benefits communications, vendor partnerships, and system integrations (HRIS, payroll, file feeds)
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, pay regulations) and manage required reporting (e.g., Form 5500, ACA)
Analyze compensation and benefits data to generate insights, identify trends, and recommend program enhancements
Serve as a strategic advisor to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and senior leadership on all compensation and benefits matters
Drive continuous improvement and automation of compensation and benefits processes using technology, analytics, and best practices
Lead or support special projects related to total rewards, employee well-being, and regulatory or market changes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
A minimum of five years of Compensation and Benefits manager experience preferred
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with peers
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems
Knowledge of principles and method for curriculum and training, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the evaluation of training
Ability to act with tact and diplomacy in sensitive situations
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
