Director, Marketing Planning - Remote

Responsibilities
Hire, manage, mentor, and inspire a team of marketing project managers, fostering a culture of proactive communication, seamless collaboration, and shared accountability ensuring efficient workflow and knowledge sharing
Ensure the team possesses cutting-edge skills and operates with autonomy to deliver on time, on budget project execution
Provide regular feedback and conduct performance reviews
Proactively develop and champion comprehensive marketing planning frameworks and processes that capture and codify incoming needs to better align and prioritize with organizational strategic objectives
Lead the proactive planning and strategic forecast allocation of marketing resources across multiple business portfolios to identify required talent and ensure optimal resource allocation to ensure optimal project delivery and strategic alignment
Drive integrated team efforts to critically assess and prioritize incoming project requests based on strategic impact and resource availability, anticipating potential conflicts and developing proactive mitigation strategies
Establish and own the generation and insightful analysis of overarching marketing operational performance and efficiency reports
Leverage analytical expertise to proactively identify systemic inefficiencies and opportunities for significant streamlining and automation across key marketing workflows
Define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously monitor and optimize operational effectiveness, driving measurable improvements in output and resource utilization
Proactively identify, assess, and strategically mitigate potential resourcing and project risks, issues, and bottlenecks with a forward-thinking approach
Lead the development of robust contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges, ensuring proactive problem-solving and the maintenance of balanced resource allocation and on-track project delivery
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree
10+ years of project management experience in a marketing department, organization, or agency
Passion for mentoring and talent development, with a track record of building high-performing teams
Strong understanding of integrated marketing campaign execution, including knowledge of the planning, creative, and production processes for digital, video, social, and traditional content
Highly data-driven mindset with experience leveraging analytics in planning, resourcing and execution decision-making
Experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives, building rapport and consent among diverse groups and influencing individuals without direct supervision
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a win-win mindset
Demonstrated experience to influence individuals and teams at all levels of the organization
Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments
An effective, versatile, action-oriented individual with the ability to operate in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment, managing complex and multiple assignments
Proficiency in project management tools and software and Microsoft Office suite
Requires travel by air or car when necessary
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment
No or very limited physical effort required
No or very limited exposure to physical risk
Preferred
Experience managing a team of marketing project managers is highly preferred
Project Management Certification preferred
