Program Manager, Peer Services

Mental Health Partnerships is hiring a full-time Program Manager to oversee Mobile Peer Services teams that provide community-based peer support for individuals with mental health and co-occurring conditions. The role involves service coordination, staff management, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards while promoting recovery and community integration for participants.

Responsibilities

Ability to oversee and manage two mobile peer programs in one location -PeerNet Philly and PeerNet Homeless Specialty producing or exceeding productivity goals, service deliverables and desired outcomes
Leads the overall service coordination consistent with MHP & regulatory guidelines; ensures adherence with all accreditation, certification and regulatory standards if applicable; establishes and implements operational procedures and monitors participant visits
Must possess competencies of Time Management, Communication, Interviewing Skills, Conflict Resolution, Emotional Intelligence, Networking, Problem Solving, Performance Management, Team Building and Results Oriented
Hires, trains, evaluates and develops staff in support of MHP and Recovery core policies, practices and principles; address and monitor the specific goals and assignments of each staff member by facilitating weekly one/one supervisory meetings, monthly team meetings for each team and manages program staff schedules
Cultivates and maintains working relationships with outside agencies, i.e. behavioral health organizations, healthcare providers, and other community organizations; attends professional meetings as required; engages with community and participates in community events to increase visibility in the community and generate referrals and partnerships
Ensures staff obtains necessary information during the intake process, and collaboratively document participant progress in accordance with set goal plans in MHP’s electronic health records system. Assigns caseloads and related duties
Reviews and approves employees’ electronic health record entries; ensures participant satisfaction through service verifications, auditing and monitoring records, shadowing, etc
In collaboration with Finance, develops and manages the program budget; completes relevant financial duties, such as productivity reports, check requests, purchase orders, expense reports, etc
Tracks revenue from mobile services and incorporates individual production reports into staff supervision sessions to support staff in achieving billable unit quotas
In collaboration with the Division Director, develops and implements innovative services for unmet needs and/or processes and provides guidance in solving complex problems that may affect services
Defuses critical situations and provides safety and reassurance to all participants, volunteers, and staff; notifies Division Director, in a timely way, of any problems or concerns; creates incident reports as necessary
Gathers and provides data for outcomes and written reports requested by city, state, or federal funding sources
Recommends best practices to address internal and/or external challenges to the services provided
Orders and maintains relevant program supplies, transit passes, etc.; regularly monitors vehicle maintenance to ensure all MHP vehicles are serviced, cleaned, maintained, and operated in a safe manner. Complies with annual registration and inspection standards
May be required to cover Certified Peer Specialists responsibilities in order to maintain program operations and ensure the continuity of care of participants
Reports any activities that may violate established laws, regulations, policies or procedures. Raises questions about any actions contrary to law or policy taken by another staff member or employee or yourself, and reports the matter to management or to Compliance and/or Human Resources

Required

Minimum of an Associate's degree and two years of mental health experience required
3+ years' experience in management/supervision required (including managing functions, processes, and/or people in a work, internship or volunteer setting)
Must possess a CPS certification from the Pennsylvania Certification Board
Must possess a Certificate for Peer Specialist Supervisory Training or ability to achieve it during the first 6 months of employment
Knowledge of community resources and systems, financial/social resources, and experience in interviewing, assessment and implementation
Must possess basic computer skills to perform job duties including desktop computing, e-mail, time sheet management, electronic health records, internet research, etc. using relevant software
Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines and billable unit requirements, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
Ability to understand and effectively manage a program budget
Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing
Must have access to a car to use for work on a daily basis. Must have automobile insurance coverage at the state requirement levels and current state registration
