Responsibilities
Perform chemical, physical, and analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards
Prepare samples accurately using established procedures such as etching and other sample preparation techniques
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring calibration and proper functioning to guarantee reliable test results
Record, analyze, and report test data using software tools like Minitab to identify trends and support quality improvement efforts
Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions within the manufacturing process
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment in compliance with company and regulatory standards
Document all testing activities and results thoroughly to support audits and quality assurance processes
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or higher in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred
Proven experience in a quality laboratory environment within the manufacturing industry
Proficiency in performing chemical and physical tests using standard laboratory equipment
Familiarity with production processes and quality control methodologies
Basic knowledge of statistical analysis software such as Minitab
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related discipline
Experience with etching techniques and advanced sample preparation methods
Certification in quality control or laboratory safety standards
Strong analytical skills with experience in data interpretation and reporting
Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to continuous improvement initiatives
