Lead Business Analyst - Only Local to TX
American Unit, Inc is seeking a Lead Business Analyst to provide guidance to team members and collaborate with stakeholders on the WIC MIS system. The role involves managing requirements documentation, conducting gap analysis, and ensuring clear communication between technical and non-technical teams.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage the WIC MIS requirements documentation project plan
Review existing MIS functionality and translate into clear system requirements
Conduct gap analysis against federal, state, and program requirements
Lead and support team members in requirements elicitation and documentation
Track milestones, identify risks/issues, and report project status
Obtain stakeholder sign-off on requirements and priorities
Collaborate daily with technical and business teams
Qualification
Required
10+ years of Business Analysis experience (requirements elicitation & documentation)
Strong knowledge of Project Management frameworks
Experience with large-scale IT operations
Expertise in defining functional and non-functional requirements
Ability to create clear, complete, and actionable requirements documentation
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills
Proven ability to document system functionality and regulatory requirements accurately
Preferred
Experience working with government regulations / compliance frameworks
Project management and team leadership experience
Policy interpretation and translating regulations into system requirements
Experience reviewing existing MIS systems and documenting requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, MIS, Computer Science, or related field
PMI-PBA or IIBA CBAP certification
