ideaHelix is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mid-Skill Java Developer to join the Foundry Team. The role focuses on enhancing existing Java codebases, creating new classes, and addressing complex business logic in the energy and utility space. The ideal candidate will also take on a Tech Lead role, ensuring code quality and collaborating with the development team.

Responsibilities

Candidate must play Tech Lead role and should able to handle large Java code base independently
Collaborate with the development team to enhance and extend existing Java codebases
Create new classes that implement existing interfaces, ensuring code quality and adherence to coding standards
Identify and address edge cases and corner scenarios in complex systems, enhancing system reliability and stability
Continuously learn and apply basic Foundry principles to support efficient testing and validation of Java code
Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers and actively seeking feedback for self-improvement
Should have exposure in building UDFs in Java

Qualification

Required

A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Java development
Strong proficiency in Java programming with a focus on enhancing existing code
Experience with build automation tools, particularly Gradle
Proficiency in using either IntelliJ or Eclipse as integrated development environments
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen ability to handle edge cases and corner scenarios in complex systems
Willingness to learn and apply basic Foundry concepts for effective testing
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred

Experience with stream processing technologies such as Flink or Kafka is a plus
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory
