Responsibilities
Build your vision – Design and lead a unified North America TA team from the ground up, bringing dispersed recruiting efforts into a cohesive, centralized function
Set the strategy – Create the roadmap for attracting diverse talent in R&D, commercial, quality, and manufacturing populations
Partner with the C-suite – Report to the VP of HR with direct access to executive leadership to drive talent strategy
Structure the team – Determine the optimal mix of recruiters and sourcers, building a high-performing unit that delivers strategic value
Define the future – Establish processes, systems, and an employer value proposition that positions the company as an employer of choice
Qualification
Required
7+ years in talent acquisition with 3+ years leading TA teams
Proven track record building or establishing TA functions – you've created infrastructure and added value beyond just filling roles
Experience influencing C-suite executives on talent strategy and value proposition
Deep understanding of specialized talent populations (R&D, quality, commercial)
Comfortable starting with a blank slate – you're energized by the opportunity to create something meaningful
Preferred
Medical device, biotech, pharma, or life sciences experience (preferred but not required)
Experience at companies where you've built TA capabilities from the ground up or early stages
Strategic thinker who can also roll up sleeves and execute
