The role involves leading teams, overseeing engagements, and developing client relationships while ensuring quality and compliance in tax matters.

Responsibilities

Providing tax compliance and advisory services to High Net Worth Individuals, including their closely related businesses, trusts, and exempt organizations
Leading teams of seniors and staff accountants
Oversee planning and scheduling of engagements
Research complex tax issues
Ensure quality of work product
Monitor work-flow
Coach/mentor individual team members
Provide formal and informal feedback
Communicate progress to partners
Develop and maintain strong client relationships with client personnel and prospective clients
Work closely with clients to advise on income tax issues and related tax planning

Qualification

Licensed CPAIndividual income taxEstate planningResearch skillsProject managementMicrosoft OfficeCommunication skillsTeam leadership

Required

7+ years of experience depending on relevant work experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major
Licensed CPA
Experience with individual income tax, gift tax, estate tax and trust taxation
Ability to identify and propose resolutions to complex income tax issues
Demonstrated advanced project management skills
Ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
Excellent research skills
Strong technical aptitude and communication skills
Ability to work independently
Has proven experience in leading and supervising a team
Can learn, teach, and supervise in a fast paced environment and is receptive to feedback and coaching
Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative on projects
Has high attention to detail
Has a positive attitude and a team player mentality with a can-do spirit
Microsoft Office skills must all be strong

Preferred

Master's Degree in a plus
Estate planning experience a preferred
