Responsibilities
Work closely with experienced Shot Peen Inspectors to complete work and prioritize tasks for On-Time delivery
Follow technique card, customer Purchase Orders and drawings, and instructions from experienced Shot Peen Inspectors; apply maskants as required and perform fadeout peening
Prepare parts prior to operations; use proper tooling and fixtures, when applicable
Legibly sign off on work once completed and Operator Self Verification inspection has occurred
General review of paperwork and Operator Self Verification inspection of job to ensure all previous operations were completed. Notify supervisor and Quality Assurance if any errors
Knowledge of pre and post cleaning surface finish requirements
Familiar with Quality Assurance requirements & rework procedures
Be familiar with engineering drawing notations regarding shot peening
Be familiar with the safety precautions & know how to avoid injury to personnel
Other duties, including support of the Abrasive Blast area, as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must have a regular and dependable attendance record
Ability to Read/Write Communicate in English with other employees, Customers, and auditors
Ability to pass a written and practical test that covers surface condition requirements, operating procedures, and inspection techniques. Certification required after successful completion of training and testing in the qualifications
Required to participate in annual Hearing Conservation testing and Eye Exams
Ability to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE based upon requirements in working area
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. An export license will be required to work in all areas of the facility
1-2 years in a manufacturing environment a plus
Ability to lift occasionally: (floor to knee) 114 lbs., (waist to waist) 63 lbs., (floor, knee, to waist) 75 lbs., (waist to shoulder) 30 lbs
Ability to carry 63 lbs. occasionally
Ability to push/pull 59 lbs. occasionally
Ability to stand and walk frequently
Ability to sit occasionally
Ability to reach from the shoulder and overhead occasionally and from the waist frequently
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, crouch, kneel, crawl occasionally
