Structural Bridge Engineer – Project Manager - Cleveland, OH

LJB Inc. is a growing national engineering firm specializing in civil and structural engineering, seeking an experienced Structural Bridge Engineer – Project Manager to support their Transportation Practice in Cleveland, Ohio. The role involves managing project scope, profitability, and client relations while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative transportation solutions.

Civil Engineering

Responsibilities

Responsible for management, scope, fees, and the profitability of individual projects and project portfolio
Point person and firm’s contact with clients while functioning as project manager
Assists in new sales with clients for which they are managing projects
Guides and coordinates internal LJB transportation disciplines with sub-consultants and clients
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams
Possesses an understanding of all transportation disciplines and requirements as related to bridge design projects
Responsible for assisting Deputy Operations Manager in maintaining PM best practices
On larger projects, may or may not be involved directly in the design
Apprise Operations Management of employee performance on projects
Provide information to Deputy Operations Manager on future projects so they can manage staffing
Assist in informal development of other employees
Other duties as assigned

Qualification

P.E. licenseProject Management Professional (PMP)Bridge design experienceMicroStationAutoCADCivil-3DInterpersonal skillsPresentation skillsWriting skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field required
P.E. license required
At least 10 years of experience in consulting or engineering
Experience working with DOTs required
Project team leadership experience
Project and client management experience
Strong presentation and interpersonal communications skills
Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills required

Preferred

M.S. degree in a relevant discipline is preferred
Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) a plus
MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, and Civil-3D software experience is preferred
