Cost and Supplier Management Consultant
Truist Bank is a financial institution seeking a Cost and Supplier Management Consultant to enhance their Enterprise Technology Supplier and Financial management processes. Responsibilities
Manages labor suppliers and a portfolio of contracts utilizing tools like Ariba while managing the risk profiles in tools like Archer
Manages stakeholder’s day-to- day needs. Monitors internal and external service relationships to ensure quality of service delivery, client satisfaction, operational efficiencies and achievement of target cost savings
Serves as first line, tactical conduit for communication between LOBs/teammates and the service provider(s)
Performs sourcing request entry, due diligence and ongoing monitoring activities related to supplier onboarding and performance
Typically leads moderately complex projects and participates in larger, more complex initiatives. Solves complex technical and operational problems
May have team lead/mentorship responsibilities (not managing teammates)
Acts as a resource for teammates with less experience
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree and five years of IT service delivery with experience managing complex, IT vendor relationships; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
In-depth knowledge in information systems and ability to identify, apply, and implement best practices. Understanding of key business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function
Ability to plan and manage projects. Ability to solve complex problems by applying best practices. Ability to interpret and convey complex, difficult, or sensitive information
Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates
Preferred
Bachelor's degree and six years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Banking or financial services experience
Experience with third-party suppliers and/or remote or offshore or outsourced activities. Sensus among different stakeholders. Ability to provide direction and mentor less experienced teammates
Knowledge and/or experience working with Archer
Knowledge and/or experience working with Ariba
