Responsibilities
Lead pre-sales, technical solution design, and post-sales support for advanced motion control and automation systems
Configure and propose solutions using drives, servomotors, PLCs, HMIs, encoders, and fieldbus protocols (e.g., PROFINET, EtherCAT)
Guide clients through system sizing, startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting
Deliver training and field support to both internal teams and external customers
Travel domestically (and occasionally internationally) for on-site project execution
Qualification
Required
Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering field preferred; or 5+ years of direct experience with motion control systems, including servomotors, AC and DC drives, controls, PLCs, HMIs, encoders, and fieldbus communication (e.g., PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT)
Proven ability to take applications from concept through startup with strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills (pre-sales, sales and post-sales activities)
Capable of evaluating multiple technical options and implementing effective solutions
Active listener with the ability to ask thoughtful questions and respond professionally
Strong applied knowledge of physics and mathematics for system sizing, load calculations, and selecting appropriate drive and control components
