Responsibilities
Experience the role an industrial engineer plays in a distribution/fulfillment center operation with a multivariable engineered standards program
Lead a summer-long project using the DMAIC process and lean methodologies
Participate in formal and informal department walks to evaluate waste, process improvement, and measurement opportunities
Learn how time studies are used to validate labor standards
Leverage Blue Yonder (our Labor Management System) for pulling performance reports and job code mapping
Qualification
Required
Candidates with a genuine curiosity about a long-term career within industrial engineering, particularly within the supply chain and operations space
Rising Juniors and Seniors currently enrolled in a 4-year degree program
Available for the full duration of the summer internship program
Strong analytical problem solvers
Shown leadership experience and strong communication
The confidence and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
Ability to learn the business and strong work ethic
Able to accommodate a flexible work schedule depending on business needs
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering majors preferred but not required
