Responsibilities
Build and implement a comprehensive coverage strategy across deal sources and advisors via cultivating strong relationships with sources of deal flow within the intermediary network (including investment banks, advisory firms, attorneys, CPAs, PE firms, etc.)
Source and build a robust pipeline of potential investment opportunities that align with the Firm's investment objectives and core strategies
Collaborate with the investment team to ensure effective coordination of outreach efforts as well as a seamless transition of opportunities to the investment team for evaluation and execution
Utilize data to create, organize, and prioritize target lists, identify areas of opportunity for sourcing deals, strengthen relationships, and advocate for the Firm's objectives with deal sources
Maintain and develop relationships with the buyside broker community
Create thematic driven investment theses to identify and vet new potential investments
Coordinate and schedule sourcing trip meetings and conference activities for team sourcing efforts
Build relationship networks to gain access to decision makers and key industry contacts
Leverage research to prepare for meetings to thoughtfully engage with senior executives and a wide range of intermediaries
Qualification
Required
5+ years of relevant professional experience
Proven track record of deal sourcing and origination
Exceptional relationship building and networking skills
Strategic and collaborative approach coupled with strong data analytical skills
Strong work ethic, detail- and action-oriented with a continuous improvement mentality
Excellent communication skills, motivated to contribute and grow in a dynamic environment
Well organized with outstanding project management skills, including ability to prioritize and manage conflicting tasks and deadlines
Ability to flourish and navigate in a rapidly changing organization and operate comfortably with ambiguity and complexity
Self-motivated with a problem-solver and ownership mentality
