Responsibilities
Work with the mechanical engineers to understand machine function
Specify all control hardware including: PLC's, HMI's, servos, VFD's, sensors, pneumatics, safety components, networking, vision
Build bill of materials
Design control schematic with AutoCAD
Ladder logic programming of PLC's
HMI development
Servo sizing and control
System integration with other machinery manufacturers
In house testing and customer runoff
Interaction with customers throughout the design, build and installation processes
Travel to customer facility for start up as required, 15% travel
Technical support
Qualification
Required
BSEE or associate degree in related field
Rockwell CompactLogix programming experience
AutoCAD
Project management
Creativity and problem solving skills
Mechanical aptitude
