Ascendo Resources is a boutique, specialized accounting firm with a long history of servicing privately held businesses and HNW individuals. They are seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to provide tax compliance and advisory services, lead teams, and develop strong client relationships.

Responsibilities

Providing tax compliance and advisory services to Individual and Business clients, including trusts, and exempt organizations
Leading teams of seniors and staff accountants
Oversee planning and scheduling of engagements
Research complex tax issues
Ensure quality of work product
Monitor work-flow
Coach/mentor individual team members
Provide formal and informal feedback
Communicate progress to partners
Develop and maintain strong client relationships with client personnel and prospective clients
Work closely with clients to advise on income tax issues and related tax planning

Qualification

Licensed CPATax return preparationProject managementResearch skillsClient relationship managementMicrosoft OfficeCommunication skillsTeam leadershipAttention to detail

Required

3+ years of experience depending on relevant work experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related major; Master's Degree in a plus
Experience with preparation/review of income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trust, and estates preferred
Licensed CPA preferred
Ability to identify and propose resolutions to complex income tax issues
Demonstrated advanced project management skills
Ability to utilize firm technology to enhance client service
Excellent research skills
Strong technical aptitude and communication skills
Ability to work independently
Has proven experience in leading and supervising a team
Can learn, teach, and supervise in a fast paced environment and is receptive to feedback and coaching
Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities, and take initiative on projects
Has high attention to detail
Has a positive attitude and a team player mentality with a can-do spirit
Microsoft Office skills must all be strong
