Responsibilities
Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned transactions or projects
Assist lawyers with commercial real estate transactions, which include document preparation, document review and revision
Experience drafting loan documents, reviewing titles and surveys, and managing loan closings
Review closing documents for accuracy
Assist with all post-closing matters, including delivery of original closing documents to the appropriate parties; collection of post-closing items confirmation of proper recording of closing documents
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Experience in lieu of degree may be considered. Paralegal certificate is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong understanding of legal language and principles, and research methods
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Preferred
Experience drafting loan documents, reviewing titles and surveys, and managing loan closings
Experience using a document management system, NetDocs a plus
Experience using SimplyAgree or other signature and closing tool a plus
