They are in search of a Project Engineer/Draftsman for their Kansas City facility to provide research, designs, and technical support to the engineering team and management group, ensuring the long-term technical health and performance of the plant.

Responsibilities
Develop designs, schematics and drawings in AutoCAD and or SolidWorks
Interpret/Review/Maintain mechanical design drawings as needed
Collaborate with all members of the engineering and management team to promote best practices and shared creativity in order to deliver the best solutions possible for our project assignments
Develop bill of materials for mechanical engineering/construction projects
Research supplier products or alternatives for process equipment replacements or improvements
Assist with process improvement modeling and constantly update/maintain long range plans for process or site improvements
Help maintain specifications and standards (including pm procedures) for existing equipment and processes
Write user manuals, safe work procedures, predictive and preventative maintenance procedures, and conduct training etc to communicate functionality of company developed equipment/designs and/or new equipment purchases
Qualification
Required
BS degree in engineering or related discipline (BSME degree preferred)
Proficient in Design/Drafting Tools AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general computer literacy
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be a self-starter, team player, work well with others and have a positive attitude
Must be a creative thinker, results oriented, focused, and attentive to detail and accuracy
Must have ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
Ability to manage travel up to 30%
Flexibility to work after hours, and some weekend and holidays if needed
Must be willing to grow and develop both as an engineer/designer, process improvement expert, and business/team leader
