National Sales Manager – Fire Protection (Leading European Brand Expanding into the U.S.)
CNS Worldwide Executive Search is a leading international manufacturer of fire suppression systems expanding into the United States. They are seeking a National Business Development Manager to lead commercial development efforts, define and execute the U.S. go-to-market strategy, and drive early-stage growth through strategic sales and partnerships.
Responsibilities
Lead national sales efforts across the United States with a strong focus on business development and market entry
Build and execute a go-to-market strategy to establish the company’s brand and solutions in the U.S
Identify, target, and engage key distributors, contractors, engineering firms, and end-users in the fire protection and mechanical systems sectors
Develop a robust pipeline of commercial opportunities across industrial, commercial, and institutional markets
Manage the full sales cycle—from lead generation to closing—and deliver on revenue targets
Provide market feedback to inform product positioning, marketing, pricing, and customer service strategy
Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to build awareness and strategic relationships
Collaborate with global leadership to align U.S. sales activities with broader corporate objectives
Prepare accurate forecasts, activity reports, and market intelligence updates
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
7+ years of successful B2B sales experience in fire protection, HVAC, mechanical systems, or building technologies
Strong understanding of distribution networks, codes & standards, and decision-makers in the U.S. market
Demonstrated ability to launch or grow new product lines or companies in competitive technical markets
Proven experience developing sales territories, building customer relationships, and negotiating contracts
Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate autonomously and navigate ambiguity
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness to travel nationally (50%+)
