Vice President of Business Development

Responsibilities
Formulate the company's mid- to long-term business expansion strategy, identify and capture industry growth opportunities
Assess market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs, and drive the exploration of new business models
Collaborate with senior management team to ensure business development direction is aligned with company strategy
Lead new customer acquisition efforts to expand into key industries, regions or customer groups
Establish and execute new market entry strategies (e.g., regional expansion, industry penetration)
Optimize the front-end strategy of the sales funnel to increase the conversion rate of potential customers
Identify and establish strategic partnerships (channels, alliances, joint products, etc.)
Negotiate and sign key business agreements to achieve win-win growth
Manage existing partnerships to enhance the depth and benefits of cooperation
Identify and evaluate external expansion opportunities such as mergers and acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures
Collaborate with corporate strategy, legal, and finance teams to drive transaction progress
Promote business model innovation, platform opportunities or cross-border growth attempts
Establish an efficient business development team, including sales development, channel development, strategic cooperation positions, etc
Develop and manage team KPIs, including number of new customers, cooperation conversion rate, revenue contribution, etc
Improve the team's customer communication, negotiation, solution formulation and execution capabilities
Collaborate with marketing, product, sales, legal, technology, finance and other departments to promote the implementation of cooperation plans
Provide market feedback, customer needs, industry information, and support product/service optimization
Promote a 'growth-oriented' culture throughout the company
Qualification
Required
Bachelor degree or above, major in business administration, marketing, economics, strategy, international trade, etc
Typically requires more than 18 years of experience in business development, strategic sales or corporate partnerships, and more than 5 years of executive management experience
Have successfully led key customer development, large-scale cooperation projects or new market development cases
Familiar with the industry ecosystem and its growth drivers (such as technology, finance, manufacturing, fast-moving consumer goods, pharmaceuticals, etc.)
