Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding and approval
Prepare and process payments through checks, electronic transfers, and other methods
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues
Generate customer invoices and statements promptly and accurately
Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue payments
Apply payments received to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies as needed
Monitor cash flow and ensure sufficient funds are available for payments
Prepare and maintain cash forecasts to support business operations
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to accounts payable and receivable
Provide analysis and insights into payment trends, aging balances, and cash flow projections
Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
Collaborate with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure alignment on payment terms and resolve any payment-related discrepancies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Proven experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable roles, preferably in the retail industry
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
