Community Health Technician
The City of Hamilton is committed to public health initiatives and is seeking a Community Health Technician. The technician will support health education programs, provide outreach and resources to the community, and assist with data entry and reporting for a duration of 6 months.

Responsibilities
Assists in planning, development and implementation of health education programs and outreach activities
Supports immunization clinics, health screenings, community events and wellness fairs
Provides health information regarding local health resources and services to the community
Maintains accurate records and assists with data entry and reporting
Conducts engagement outreach to underserved populations
Collects basic health data under supervision
Collaborates with public health staff
Assists in providing health resource information/event promotion through various media outlets
Participates in emergency response activities as needed or as directed
Performs related work as directed
Qualification
Required
Graduation from a college or technical school with a minimum of an Associate's degree in public health, health sciences or a related field
The ability to work up to 36 hours per week
Basic Computer Skills, i.e., data entry, email, Google Docs
A valid driver's license and/or other licenses/certificates may be required
