Responsibilities
Conducts financial counseling to include collection of co-pays, deductibles and payment arrangements for all Enterprise balances
Evaluates patient/guarantor for financial assistance, Cobra, and/or other 3rd party payor
Negotiates patient payment plans
Collects accounts receivable
Personal counseling to assist patient with medical payment arrangement
Interviews patient in order to secure payment/financing of patient’s monetary responsibility
Interviews patient/guarantor to evaluate eligibility for Cobra, financial assistance, or other 3rd party payor for Mosaic Life Care (includes Clinic)
Negotiates payment plans for point of service collections and past balances for Enterprise
Maintain all employee discounts and enter in the computer system
Sets up payroll deduction with employees on their accounts and posts the payments to the accounts each pay period
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Previous collection experience
3 months to 1 year experience in Financial Counseling (Maryville specific)
Preferred
PC and Word computer experience
Typing speed of 45 WPM
10 key by touch
1 to 3 years experience (Maryville specific)
