Responsibilities
Manage relationships with key vendors to enable continuous improvements and innovation
Oversee category management and strategic sourcing policies, processes, and systems
Ensure compliance with sourcing policies and processes and report any deviations
Identify continuous improvement opportunities based on industry trends and new technology
Drive significant sourcing activities, including contract negotiations
Execute strategic sourcing vision and strategy in alignment with business needs
Develop strategic objectives and establish success measurements (KPIs)
Maintain sourcing policies and processes to achieve strategic sourcing vision
Ensure best practices in sourcing, including spend analysis and contract management
Oversee daily sourcing project activities and develop operational metrics for process improvement
Partner with business owners and financial operations to meet organizational needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or relevant technical expertise. Advanced degree preferred
10+ Years of Commercial Category Management experience
Minimum 5-7 yrs commercial sourcing experience with a specialization in one or two categories, as well as previous pharma experience or similar highly regulated environment
Robust knowledge of sourcing strategies within pharmaceutical commercial categories
Experience in strategic sourcing or procurement roles, with expertise in commercial pharmaceutical procurement
Strong communication skills and ability to influence at senior levels
Strategic thinking and familiarity with emerging procurement technologies
Experience in leading large, complex sourcing projects and supporting senior leadership
Preferred
Advanced degree preferred
Local to Princeton, NJ preferred. Open to remote but will not be able to convert to perm
