Responsibilities

Develop detailed civil engineering designs, plans, and specifications for construction projects
Oversee the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety regulations
Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure projects meet design standards and environmental regulations
Work with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure seamless integration of various project components
Monitor and ensure the quality of construction work through testing, inspections, and reviewing contractor performance
Address any issues that arise during the design or construction phases, providing solutions that maintain project integrity and minimize delays
Ensure that all engineering projects comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations and environmental standards
Assist in budgeting for projects, reviewing costs, and proposing cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and safety
Prepare regular reports on project progress, issues, and milestones for stakeholders and clients

Required

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a strong focus in (flood control, transportation, water resources, structural)
Proficient in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, SAP2000, PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, Hydro-CAD, CWALSHT, etc.)
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with teams and clients
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work

Preferred

Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or the ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
Familiarity with sustainable and green building practices
Experience with environmental and permitting agencies
Experience in land development and utility coordination
