The role involves managing tax projects, ensuring client compliance, and providing excellent client service while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in tax preparation.

Responsibilities

Manage the performance and completion of assigned tax projects

Conducts small business consulting and individual tax planning

Provide responsive and friendly client service

Prepare and/or review sales and use tax returns, 1099s, and other payroll reporting

Prepare and/or review federal and state income taxes for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates, and exempt organizations

Drafts research memos and formulate preliminary conclusions

Assist with response to IRS notices

Demonstrates an understanding of and applies tax planning concepts

Prepare thorough, detailed, and accurate workpapers in accordance with firm standards

Complete tax preparation checklists for client prepared financial statements

Maintain accuracy and completeness of department workflow management software

Assist other team members and management with their responsibilities as assigned

Contribute to the mentorship of tax associates

Perform other tasks and assignments as requested

Required

Minimum of 5 years of tax experience

Able to communicate effectively with clients

Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), a 10-key calculator, and any of the following - ProSystem FX Tax, Scan, or AutoFlow

Strong understanding and compliance to client privacy and confidentiality rules

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks daily

Tax: 5 years

Ability to Commute: Alpharetta, GA 30022

Preferred

CCH tax software: 3 years
