Gelest Inc., part of the Mitsubishi Chemical Group, is seeking a Quality Control Intern to join our Quality Control team for the summer. The Quality Control Intern will be responsible for preparing, analyzing, and documenting test results for raw materials, in-process, and final samples.

Responsibilities

Analyze specialty silanes, silicones, metal organics, acrylates, and other specialty chemicals in relation to their specifications

Run basic analyses using Spectrometers, Gas Chromatography (GC), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC), Karl Fischer (KF), Viscometers, and wet chemistry

Input analytical data into the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure proper product release or disposition

Adhere to all procedures for daily operations of the Quality Control Laboratory

Communicate with the Laboratory Supervisor to ensure information is shared in a timely manner

Log samples for testing and retains

Other duties as assigned

Required

Minimum high school diploma or GED required

Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science related field
