Stacks Logistics is a company that specializes in executing complex, multi-city operations for high-profile clients. They are seeking a Director of Operations to create and enforce operational discipline across various locations, ensuring high-touch service and effective systems are in place.

Logistics & Supply Chain

Responsibilities

End-to-end execution across all markets (warehousing, labor, delivery)

Operational playbooks, SOPs, and service standards that actually get used

Onboarding, training, and performance of Location & Operations team

Capacity planning, staffing models, and execution readiness

Ops tech stack (inventory tracking, labor reporting, receiving and shipping)

Cost modeling and facility planning

Real-time problem solving in high-pressure, last-minute environments

Design simple, enforceable SOPs for: Receiving and intake, Inventory tracking and condition reporting, Storage assignment and warehouse layout, Labor time tracking, Delivery prep, returns, and exceptions

Ensure SOPs are actually followed, not just documented

Train and coach location managers on standards and expectations

Establish inspection rhythms (daily, weekly, monthly)

Review scorecards covering: Inventory accuracy, Labor hours tracked vs. billed, Compliance with SOPs, Correct deviations through coaching and consequences

Ensure inventory records are accurate, timely, and reliable

Eliminate gaps between work performed and work billed

Build operational inputs that support clean client reporting and invoicing

Be present in warehouses regularly

Solve problems without waiting for perfect systems

Build structure while operations are actively running
