Quality Assurance & Quality Control Lead

They are seeking a Lead of Quality Assurance & Quality Control to build and maintain scalable quality systems while collaborating with global teams to ensure product quality and compliance.

Responsibilities
Build, maintain, and continuously evolve scalable QA/QC systems that grow with the business
Design and own systems to track and trend:
Product reviews and field feedback
Unsaleable and return
CAPA initiation and status
Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) tracking and implementation
CAPA performance and effectiveness over time (efficacy tracking)
Ensure systems remain simple, scalable, and actionable, avoiding unnecessary complexity
Initiate and own CAPA records based on product reviews, field issues, testing failures, and customer feedback
Partner with global teams and suppliers who execute root cause analysis and corrective actions
Evaluate, question, and refine submitted root cause analyses and corrective actions to ensure accuracy, depth, and clarity
Edit and structure CAPA documentation to ensure it is technically sound, customer-ready, and easy to understand
Own verification of effectiveness (VOE) and closure decisions
Able to quickly summarize and respond to leadership questions regarding quality status and product insights
Translate large volumes of quality and technical data into clear trends, risks, and priorities
Build dashboards and summaries that support fast, confident decision-making
Produce concise internal and customer-facing summaries that clearly explain what happened, why, what is being done to rectify the issue, and how recurrence will be prevented
Work with review seeding teams to ensure correct number of products are seeded for launch and action items are taken on initial review feedback prior to product official launch
Communicate with all internal team members for UPC updates when product changes occur
Ensure the guest QA team is equipped with unique answers and information on specific products to help guests understand products
Work closely with global engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams across multiple time zones
Drive regular, clear communication to keep quality issues moving forward
Act as the central quality point of accountability
Actively explore and apply AI and automation tools to:
Detect trends earlier
Improve CAPA quality and speed of execution
Automate reporting and tracking
Continuously improve quality systems to handle increased volume, SKU count, and complexity
Lead with clarity, practicality, and common sense
Balance speed with discipline in a fast-growing environment
Influence cross-functional teams through trust, technical credibility, and clear communication
Effective and efficient communication with customer QA team members
Qualification
Required
Engineering degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or similar)
Proven experience building and operating QA/QC systems in a growth-stage environment
Strong hands-on experience with CAPA initiation and oversight
Strong hands-on experience with root cause analysis evaluation
Strong hands-on experience with COPQ tracking and reduction
Supplier and manufacturing quality
Excellent ability to summarize technical information and data for both internal teams and customers
Confident communicator across global teams
Strong judgment and a practical, solutions-focused mindset
Preferred
2 + year's experience with fast-growing consumer product companies
Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements (UL, ASTM, ISO, CPSIA, FDA as applicable)
Experience using AI, analytics, or automation tools in quality or operations
Retail background in consumer electronics, wellness, or home goods
