Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy

Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines

This position supports department E86 Nuclear Propulsion – Construction and Process Engineering

The department overall has opportunities in new construction for aircraft carriers, Virginia Class Submarines, Columbia Class submarines, and process engineering

This position is for a Mechanical Engineer who provides hands-on waterfront support, manufacturing engineering support and oversight for the construction of Reactor Plant structures for the Columbia Class Submarine program
