They are seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer to manage the Potomac Interceptor Sewer Pipeline Project, which includes preparing RFQs and RFPs, overseeing designs, and coordinating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Prepare Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and Requests for Proposal (RFP) preparation experience
Develop studies and support capital improvement project planning, including permitting processes
Oversee and manage designs prepared by others, as well as review design and construction submittals; and
Coordinate with various stakeholders and manage multiple project schedules and budgets

Professional Engineering (PE) licensePipeline design experienceTrenchless technologies experienceCivil engineering degreeProject management softwareMicrosoft Office proficiencyCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field
Must have eight (8) to twenty-five (25) years of experience in engineering design and management
Professional Engineering (PE) license in Washington, DC, or the ability to obtain one within one year
Pipeline design experience including hydraulic profile and flow rate calculations
Pipeline upgrades project experience with trenchless technologies for pipeline upgrades, project permitting processes, and bypass systems
Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office programs is required
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required

Preferred

Familiarity with the client's design standards
