Responsibilities
Program, set up, and operate 5-axis CNC mills
Machine aerospace components to ultra tight tolerances
Own the full machining process from print to part: CAM programming, fixturing, setup, operation, and inspection
Machine a variety of materials, including stainless steel, Inconel, PEEK and carbon composites
Create and apply custom fixturing and workholding solutions for prototype builds
Develop efficient toolpaths using Mastercam or similar CAM software; incorporate probing and macros to streamline setups
Collaborate with engineering to provide DFM feedback and improve part manufacturability
Support process documentation and contribute to standardizing best practices
Qualification
Required
5-10+ years of hands-on experience setting up, programming, and operating 5-axis CNC mills (Haas, DMG Mori, etc.) to machine complex aerospace parts
Strong Mastercam expertise (3+2 and full 5-axis)
Solid understanding of CNC code and shop floor programming edits
Experience with exotic metals, GD&T, and inspection tools
Driven by the challenge and impact of a mission-driven startup, with a desire to mentor others
