Billing Assistant

Responsibilities
Finalizing and entering Medicaid billing for residential sites
Monitoring timely submission of documentation
Preparing and submitting monthly and quarterly billing reports to the Associate Director
Demonstrating a strong understanding of proper billing procedures
Coordinating with the Assessment Coordinator to update staffing goals
Creating new goal documentation templates
Stocking and updating billing binders with current templates each month
Training new staff on documentation procedures
Organizing and maintaining the administrative file folder
Performing general administrative duties, including phone support and processing new hire paperwork
Managing the mental health-specific admissions waitlist file
Collaborating with the Billing Coordinator
Performing other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma
At least one year of experience working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and/or Mental Illness
Strong organizational, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
Preferred
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Medical Assistant, or Associate degree in a related field
