Business Analyst

They are seeking a Business Analyst to support the U.S. Coast Guard’s Office of Health Services by collaborating with stakeholders, defining requirements, analyzing datasets, and leading strategic projects to drive policy and operational improvements.

Responsibilities
Bridge the gap between project officers by identifying business needs, analyzing processes, and translating requirements into clear, actionable solutions
Document functional and technical requirements through interviews, data analysis, and workflow reviews, ensuring alignment between Office of Health Services’ goals and the final list of strategic projects
Support testing to ensure the end result delivers value while minimizing risks, improving efficiency, and ensuring that business objectives are met effectively
Support development of automated reports and dashboards to enable data-driven decision-making
Responsible for the full lifecycle of project management from project initiation to project closeout
Prepare and present clear, data-driven briefings for senior USCG leadership
Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks across multiple ongoing projects
Qualification
Required
MUST BE US CITIZEN
Education: Bachelor's Degree
5+ years in business analysis, consulting, or project management roles
Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMBOK, Agile/Scrum)
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Public Trust clearance required
Must comply with all government security and conduct policies
Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance
Must wear identification badges and follow Coast Guard facility access protocols
Preferred
Experience working with government agencies or public sector clients
Project management certifications (e.g., CAPM, PMP, Agile/Scrum, SAFE)
Proficiency in preparing and managing complex datasets
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Excel, PowerBI, PowerApps, Statistical Methods)
Familiarity with Coast Guard and their health systems and processes
