Responsibilities

Design, implement, and manage full-stack observability using Datadog, providing end-to-end visibility across infrastructure, applications, and services

Instrument and optimize monitoring agents across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments

Build and maintain dashboards, monitors, alerts, and anomaly detection, including SLA/SLO definitions

Integrate Datadog with ServiceNow, SSO, and other ITSM or third-party platforms

Instrument applications and infrastructure using OpenTelemetry and related frameworks to collect logs, metrics, and traces

Collaborate with Development, SRE, and DevOps teams to embed observability best practices into delivery pipelines

Automate monitoring configurations and telemetry collection using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible

Analyze telemetry data to identify performance bottlenecks, reliability issues, and security vulnerabilities

Qualification

Required

Hands-on experience with tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK Stack, New Relic, and AWS CloudWatch

Strong understanding of observability fundamentals: logs, metrics, and distributed tracing

Proficiency in Python and/or Go for scripting and automation

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Jenkins

Experience working in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments

Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized workloads

Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Ansible

Strong background in security, vulnerability management, and operational resilience within observability platforms

Ability to optimize cloud agent instrumentation for performance and cost efficiency

Datadog Fundamentals, APM & Distributed Tracing Fundamentals

Datadog Demo Certification

Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
