Hotwire Communications Ltd is seeking a Tax Manager who will oversee the organization’s income tax accounting and compliance functions. This role involves managing audits, ensuring accurate reporting, and collaborating with leadership on strategic tax initiatives.

Responsibilities

Manage federal and state Income Tax compliance, including the preparation, review and filing of required returns

Prepare and oversee income tax accounting for the company’s legal entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards

Evaluate, design, and implement company processes and internal controls to strengthen compliance, reporting and operational efficiency

Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly and annual reports to the company’s Parent organization

Manage federal and state income tax Audits, serving as the primary point of contact with taxing authorities

Ensure company-wide adherence to established tax policies, regulations and procedures

Collaborate with leadership to identify, scope and lead ad-hoc strategic and special projects

Coordinate and respond to data requests from outside auditors and accounting firms

Provide data-driven analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives and ongoing tax and finance operations

Perform other duties as assigned by the Tax Director

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred

Minimum five (5) years of progressive professional experience in tax operations across multiple disciplines

Strong proficiency in Excel and other financial systems and applications (D365, AI-enabled tools)

Excellent oral and written communications skills (including public speaking) in English

Exceptional organizational skills and effective time management

Preferred

Experience in the telecommunications/cable industry highly preferred

Experience with property and/or sales tax is a plus
