Account Executive - Assistant Sales Manager
KAGE Innovation is a company that invents and manufactures equipment for professional grounds managers. They are seeking an Account Executive/Assistant Sales Manager to increase retail awareness and manage the dealer network in the Midwest Region.

Responsibilities
Grow KAGE’s retail customer base within assigned market segments to maximize profitability
Develop and maintain on-going management of assigned dealers/partners to maximize the return for wholesale KAGE product sales
Develop and maintain on-going management of a Retail customer base
Achieve or exceed annual, quarterly, and monthly goals and objectives including but not limited to, unit sales, revenue volume, margins, sales cycle times, customer growth, and cost controls for your market segments
Consistently looking for opportunities to improve sales effectiveness and efficiencies
Work closely with the Sales Manager, Marketing Department, Production Manager, Executive Staff, Fixed Operations Teams, and other departments within assigned market segments to maximize sales volume, margins, net profit, and customer satisfaction
Manage sales efforts and processes within assigned market segments to maximize customer touches and close Retail sales
Maximize effectiveness within assigned Eastern market segments through utilization of all sales process tools, including phone calls, e-mailing, prospecting, cold calling, and setting-up and fulfilling, in-person customer appointments as well as preparing and presenting customer quote and proposals
Complete daily, weekly Customer Call Plans, Touch Reports, and CRM database management
Develop and effectively manage on-going customer relations
Complete all training material in a timely manner and with the highest degree of proficiency
Identify and communicate with other departments, to grow opportunities to penetrate customers within market segments
Promote, sell, and secure orders through a relationship and solution-based approach
Demonstrate KAGE products to existing and new dealers and end users and assist them in selecting the most appropriate solution
Represent KAGE Innovation in an open and honest manner. Maintain a positive attitude, and always hold our customers in high regard
Participate in tradeshows, open houses and conventions as needed
Attend national tradeshows to include but not limited to, SIMA, GIE, APWA
Attend regional tradeshows in-line with go-to-market strategies and sales goals
Follow Documented Sales Processes
Acquire large national accounts to increase direct to commercial, municipal, and organizational sales
Call on end-users in underdeveloped regions to increase direct to consumer sales in-line with Kage’s go-to-market (GTM) strategy
Sign on new dealers in-line with sales growth goals
Work closely, develop, and strengthen relationships with dealers by visiting dealers regularly in Eastern region; with a minimum of 6 - 10 touches per year
On-site dealer training to include training dealer staff, visiting dealer’s customers with dealer sales staff, dealer parts and service support
Attend dealer open houses and booster events
All other duties and requirements to ensure successful results in-line with sales growth goals set by the KAGE VTO
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in communications, Marketing, Business Management, or equivalent work experience
Required knowledge of Construction and Agricultural Equipment and how they work
Effective oral and written communication skills
Minimum of 5 years sales within the short-line or equipment Industry or related industries recommended
Self-motivated with the highest degree of energy, self-confidence and integrity and the ability to perform well without daily supervision
Ability to successfully negotiate with customers at all management levels
Ability to work under pressure both externally and internally across department lines, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple tasks simultaneously
Effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
Exceptional customer service skills
Proven ability to exceed annual, quarterly, monthly KPI's and sales goals
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Internet Explorer, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Knowledge of CRM
Skills, abilities and desire to lead a team
A Valid driver's license is required with the ability to obtain a DOT medical card
Able to drive for prolonged periods of time
Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc
This position may require prolonged sitting in a typical office setting
Up to 75% travel may be required
Regular evening and weekend hours are necessary to meet the requirements of this role
Extended hours required during territory travel and tradeshows
Must be able to be insured to drive company truck and trailer
Must be able and willing to pull 20' trailer with snowplows for customer demonstrations
Reliable high-speed internet connection required
