LHH is partnering with a distinguished Charlotte law firm to hire an Estate & Wealth Planning Paralegal. This position supports attorneys with estate administration matters, complex tax return preparation, and ongoing client projects within a sophisticated trusts and estates practice.

Responsibilities

Prepare a wide range of documents, including estate and gift tax returns, probate filings, accountings, and estate planning documents
Organize, proof, and revise materials related to trust and estate administration
Assist attorneys with the progression of estate matters, ensuring deadlines and filing requirements are met
Participate in and help coordinate client meetings, gathering information and providing follow-up as needed
Provide analytical support by reviewing information, summarizing documentation, and contributing to planning strategies
Prepare and file required court documents and related estate paperwork
Maintain consistent in-office attendance to collaborate effectively with attorneys and clients
Perform additional administrative or project-based tasks as needed

Required

Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant education and experience
Previous hands-on experience in estate administration is essential, including the preparation of complex federal estate and gift tax returns for high-net-worth clients
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple active matters independently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
Solid understanding of estate planning, probate processes, and related legal concepts
