Responsibilities
Serve as the senior leader for the San Antonio market, representing the bank within the local business and civic community
Actively participate in the bank’s senior management team, contributing to overall strategic planning and execution
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of commercial lenders and support staff, driving performance and professional development
Personally originate a minimum of $20MM annually in new loan production, with a focus on CRE and C&I lending
Develop and maintain strong relationships with local business owners, professional service providers, and community leaders
Ensure sound credit quality, compliance with bank policies, and adherence to regulatory standards
Partner with credit, operations, and executive leadership to deliver exceptional client service and profitable growth
Identify market opportunities and competitive trends to expand the bank’s footprint and brand in San Antonio
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 10 years of direct commercial lending experience, including C&I and CRE
Demonstrated success in business development and consistent loan production at or above $20MM annually
Prior experience in team leadership and/or management, including coaching and performance oversight
Strong understanding of credit underwriting, risk management, and loan structuring
Proven ability to operate at both a strategic and tactical level
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
Preferred
Deep ties to the San Antonio market with an established professional network
