Sourced. is seeking a skilled Tax Accountant for a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) firm based in Alpharetta, Georgia. In this role, you would be responsible for preparing federal and state income taxes, tax returns, and completing the client's tax preparation checklist, requiring high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Prepare sales and use tax returns, 1099s, and other payroll reporting

Prepare federal and state income taxes for individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates, and exempt organizations

Conducts self-review to ensure work is complete and no open issues exist

Obtain and review clients financial records for accuracy

Assist with response to IRS notices

Prepare thorough, detailed, and accurate workpapers in accordance with firm standards

Complete tax preparation checklists for client prepared financial statements

Maintain accuracy and completeness of department workflow management software

Assist other team members and management with their responsibilities as assigned

Perform other tasks and assignments as requested

Required

Minimum of 2 years of tax experience

Able to communicate effectively with clients

Proficient using Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), a 10-key calculator, and any of the following - ProSystem FX Tax, Scan, or AutoFlow

Strong understanding and compliance to client privacy and confidentiality rules

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Able to work independently and handle multiple tasks daily

Experience: federal and state tax: 2 years (Required)

Preparing sales and use tax return: 2 years (Required)

Ability to Commute: Alpharetta, GA 30022 (Required)

Preferred

CCH tax software: 1 year (Preferred)
