PRODUCTION LABORER - (SANDBLASTER)
Wells is a company focused on producing high-quality concrete products with an emphasis on safety and efficiency. The Production Laborer - Sandblaster will be responsible for various tasks including sandblasting concrete surfaces, cleaning forms, pouring concrete, and adhering to safety standards.

Responsibilities
Stripping forms by pulling finished cured goods off of forms and loading onto trailer
Cleaning forms after product is removed using a scraper, steel wool, shovels, sanders, solvents, etc
Setting up forms for pouring, including cutting and placing rebar, pulling or 'stressing' rebar strand, tying mesh, and installing imbeds (including plates, vectors and core walls) and setting side rails
Pouring concrete, including placing, raking, and shoveling concrete
Finishing concrete using various tools/methods such as smooth float, steel trowel, brooming, raking and power trowels to achieve a desired finish
Locating products stored in the Yard that have been approved for sandblasting
Sandblasting concrete surfaces according to the specifications of approved designs
Follows instructions, guidelines and procedures timely and accurately
Looks for ways to improve processes, reduce errors and increase efficiencies
Performing plant cleanup/housekeeping including putting away tools, sweeping debris and cleaning cluttered areas
Adhering to safety standards
Operating and maintaining man-lift, and other machinery including overhead cranes
Driving yard vehicles, including truck, trailer, tractor and/or Tucker/Redimix truck on company grounds
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Must have interpersonal communication skills to interact with co-workers, supervisors, and managers
Must be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently
General math skills and ability to read tape measure
Ability to work with others to get the project completed efficiently and work independently when needed
Knowledge of products the company uses, and which products would work best
Understand and accept changes that are implemented to become Best in Class
Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionally
Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently
Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day
Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts at various heights frequently
