Responsibilities
You are the first point of contact for clients and their pets, whether they are arriving for an emergency or an appointment
This role combines strong client service with administrative duties, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for pet owners during what can often be stressful situations for them and their pets
Daily tasks center around communication with clients, the hospital staff, third parties like referring veterinarians, and the administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and taking payments
Qualification
Required
A genuine love of and respect for all animals is required, as is an appreciation of the human-animal bond
Minimum 1 year of in-person, fast-paced customer service experience is required
High attention to detail, with the ability to multi-task and remain composed in busy environments
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team
Strong proficiency with desktop computers and the ability to learn veterinary software
Ability to accurately handle cash transactions
Ability to type at least 45 words per minute while engaging with clients
Comfortable handling multi-line phone systems while managing in-person interactions
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Any suitable combination of experience or education may substitute for the above
Preferred
Experience supporting a wide variety of clients or customers in challenging situations
Experience scheduling appointments preferred, especially medical scheduling
Veterinary or medical field experience preferred
