Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Analytics team, establishing clear roles, expectations, workflows, and performance standards
Drive operational maturity through documentation, prioritization frameworks, capacity planning, and continuous improvement
Partner closely with the Director to operationalize strategy, identify gaps, and reduce single points of failure across the analytics function
Lead the identification and implementation of automation opportunities across analytics workflows, including data validation report generation, QA processes, and recurring deliverables
Establish repeatable, documented processes that reduce manual effort, increase reliability, and improve team efficiency
Oversee analytic initiatives, ensuring data accuracy, interpretability, and alignment with standards
Define project scope, timelines, and deliverables while coordinating cross-functional teams to align analytics efforts with organizational objectives
Serve as a bridge between analytics, data integrations, product, and customer-facing teams, ensuring insights and data-driven solutions are seamlessly integrated into business processes
Actively engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, provide guidance on data interpretation, and facilitate collaborative problem-solving to drive informed decision-making and deliver measurable value
Demonstrate an excellent understanding of database management concepts, knowledge of data security tools/solutions, and proficiency in SQL, BI tools, Looker, and other data analysis tools
Manage analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and adherence to standards
Balance analytics work with resource project constraints, providing subject matter expertise and guidance to stakeholders
Complete ad-hoc projects as assigned to support team and operational objectives

Required

Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a closely related quantitative field
At least 8+ years of progressive relevant experience working within a data-intensive environment (IT/Data Analytics/Reporting), including a minimum of 3+ years in a formal people leadership role managing direct reports
A solid understanding of data systems, including data relationships and data modeling, with the ability to quickly learn and understand various data environments
Proven excellent written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proven planning and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Proficiency in SQL, Looker, including the ability to write complex queries and stored procedures to retrieve and manipulate data from various data sources

Preferred

A master's degree in a relevant area is a strong plus
Skilled in MariaDB/MySQL database management systems, Looker, and BI tools with demonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain complex data analytics models
Skilled in data analytics and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms
Excellent understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices
Demonstrated experience managing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) or other sensitive data, including data sharing protocols and regulatory compliance
Experience with Homeless Management Information Systems (HMIS), particularly Clarity Human Services, is a significant plus
Skilled in guiding communication efforts to ensure clear and consistent analytic-related updates to stakeholders while balancing communication needs with project priorities and organizational goals
Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams and aligning communication strategies with business goals
Skilled in guiding problem-solving efforts within analytics teams, ensuring effective resolution of analytics challenges
Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies and best practices in data analysis and management
Skilled in agile development methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA or Trello is a plus
