Regional Manager, Human Resources
Family Dollar is a retail company seeking a Regional Human Resources Business Partner to support their Regional Leaders and District Managers. The role involves both hands-on and strategic HR responsibilities, focusing on team relations, coaching, performance management, and organizational development across 232 stores in upper Michigan and parts of Wisconsin.

Responsibilities
Understand the dynamics of the business and functions and drive human resource practices and processes that will create an effective and high performing organization
Partner with and coach business leaders on all aspects of human resources including team member engagement, retention, team relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, development, training, and HR compliance
Partner with other HR center of excellence teams on to development and implement HR practices and initiatives that meet the needs of the specific organization
Provide management information, data analysis, metrics, and tools to demonstrate progress toward key milestones
Recommend improvement to processes and new approaches to programs, policies, and procedures that contribute to the success of the business
Assist the Zone Human Resources Director in the development and execution of department goals and objectives
Maintain expert knowledge of federal and state employment law and ensure compliance within assigned groups
Conduct exit interviews and translate findings into action-oriented recommendations for client groups
Work collaboratively with field leaders to ensure the performance management process is administered in a consistent, constructive and productive manner
Design teambuilding sessions, engagement listening sessions and facilitate leader development sessions, in conjunction with the Regional Training partners, that support communication needs, conflict resolution support, and enhance the competencies of regional field leaders
Represent HR and client group on cross-functional teams for projects, new programs / processes
Other job-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience is required
Three to five years of progressive HR experience is required, preferably in a field retail environment
Effective presentation (in person, through video platforms such as TEAMs), written and verbal communication, problem solving and decision making skills required
Ability to establish strong relationships with all levels of an organization
Strong analytical and influential skills are essential
Ability to analyze data, trends, reporting and technology
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Must have a high level of proficiency with the use of all Microsoft Office applications and Windows-based programs
Preferred
Prior operational leadership experience combined with field HR experience preferred
SPHR or PHR Certification is beneficial
Previous change management work a plus
Familiarity with Workday a plus
